We were captivated by the picturesque surroundings, with the river flowing gently and the lush vineyards creating a serene backdrop. The abundance of wildlife, including vibrant bird species and enchanting butterflies, added to the magical atmosphere. Our children loved exploring the unique flora and fauna, immersing themselves in the wonders of nature. It was a true haven for quality family time and adventure.
My children wanted an outdoor playground area for more entertainment.

Magnificent river and mountain views from the lodge, and a tranquil setting by the river. The hotel's facilities are clean, the parking is convenient, and the staff is helpful and cute. Breakfast is wonderful.

What a hidden gem! The location was perfect, with a stunning view of the river from our room. The spacious and comfortable room was equipped with a kitchenette, which was a great bonus. We also had access to a Weber braai on our stoep. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the nearby attractions, and we appreciated their recommendations. The large green lawns leading up to the edge of the river were perfect for a morning stroll and added to the tranquility of the place.
Honestly, we can't think of anything negative to say about our stay. The only downside was having to leave after such a short time.

The hotel had a beautiful view of the river and the surrounding landscapes were breathtaking. the staff members were incredibly helpful and were always eager to assist us with any requests or guidance we needed. the amenities offered were sufficient for our needs, and the hotel's location was perfect for us to unwind and relax.
We had a terrible experience with the cleanliness of our room. the bathroom was not properly cleaned, and the linen on the bed seemed stained and old.

Cleanliness was top-notch and the location - right by the river - was breathtaking. I discovered the charm of Stanford and enjoyed birdwatching. The staff were friendly and welcoming - especially Mariska who handled any issues with finesse.

The unique limestone soils and the special microclimate made it an ideal spot for exploring and picnicking with the kids. It was delightful to witness the diverse flora and fauna thriving in this enchanting setting.
For dads, it would be great to have a designated play area for the children.

I recently had the most amazing stay at this hotel. The location right on the river was absolutely breathtaking! I couldn't help but be mesmerized by the magnificent views of the mountains and the tranquil atmosphere. The staff here was incredible, providing excellent service from the moment I arrived. They made me feel right at home and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was unforgettable. The room amenities were top-notch, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay, including ironing facilities, tea and coffee facilities, and a mini-bar. I also loved the sitting area and the in-room safe. The dining table and patio provided the perfect space for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. The wi-fi in the rooms was a great convenience. The entire experience was simply outstanding.
I highly recommend this hotel for families.
